Okay then well first of all both sides are on the LGA, thanks to ISs help with that.

Okay my first reaction was to run off, thinking I would probably get a draw and win, and this was a very important match to me as it was the 6th defence of the Belt and the plate I had been working towards. Yet, the spirit in which the match had been played, and the banter would have made it feel like a hollow victory. Also, there was a very very small chance that there was already a drone on its way to chew up my units.

Okay, so from the right hand side

Splatter blocking doorway this is a tactic I use quite a lot, however I left it there to block his splatter getting out. In hindsight I should have moved it to the other metal doorway from which I had entered, as a drone or Queen could bite it, and claim the one point without dying. In Reality : This is exactly what IS did. So, this was a mistake to leave it there.

The spiker in the open near this doorway has 2 ammo left. Also a test shot at his gooed splatter kills the splatter but kills the spiker. I was therefore of the opinion that if he didnt have drones/buzzers out of sight flying to the left that he would just detonate and kill my spiker. If he did though, he wouldnt detonate, so I moved backwards until I wouldnt get killed by the explosion and fired one shot only at the splatter on redline. Hopefully this would damage any rush from the left hand side. In Reality : There were no other units on the RHS, and he detonated the splatter killing us both.

The drone in the backfield near my Queen this is my nightmare movement scenario, as I have had my Queens in the past and in this game doing the funky chicken when moving over hatched units. I thought the drone would be pretty useless and was more likely to get in the way of my Queen, or even more likely get bitten by his Queen, of which it wouldnt do much damage at all. I just ran this back down the alleyway out of the way. In Reality : It ran away cleanly from my Queen, back to report the victory to the Queen Matriach on LV666.

Queen in the backfield I decided to attack with her and purplelined his damaged Queen then his healthy Queen, who it appeared would still be mobile. In reality : His damaged Queen got killed and this Queen engaged his gooed healthier Queen, but nothing important to the game wrt score.

Spiker in front of this Queen near the building corner and 2 boxes I really wanted to kill his damaged Queen but was worried both of his Queens would rush my damaged Queen and kill her. Even more worrying was that he could jig his lower Queen forward and break up my spikers redline on his damaged Queen. On the other hand he could also be just going for my Queen with his healthy Queen and running off to the RHS with his damaged Queen. I therefore redlined the damaged Queen, and moved the spiker to the window of the building and redlined the damaged Queen 3 times, stepped to the right, redlined her3 times, stepped to the left, ad nauseam. Then to complete I stuck on 3 oppo fire orders in case there was something else to shoot. In Reality my shots never got blocked.

Queen near his Queens running off seemed the best option, but his damaged Queen was only a bite away from death the spikers wouldnt necessarily kill her on their own ( I tested and it was 50/50 and that was assuming they got all their shots in ). However taking on 2 Queens at once (as I assumed the healthy Queen was not going to be gooed ) could be disastrous. So, I ran her back to the corpse, eat it and then purplined the damaged Queen then the healthy Queen. This way I was hoping that a) the damaged Queen would be dead or on the verge of death, so that even if I got an unlucky damage roll she would still die. It also meant that he would have maybe a max one bite with the healthy Queen, and one bite with the damaged Queen on me. There was also the splatter to take into consideration that could have damaged my Queen and possibly killed her along with the other two Queens. Although for this to happen it would mean his healthy Queen would die, I hoped. In reality my Queen chewed his damaged one up. Also this Queen finished with 4 eggs inside her ooops.

Egg about to hatch underneath my damaged Queen nothing I could do about this, but worse case scenario a buzzer/drone hatches, in which case it will fly directly towards his Queens or the Splatter and gets eaten by a Queen. Thats one point to IS. I had to assume this worst case scenario would happen. Hence another reason to move my Queen initially to the left. If something else hatched, it would just stand there, and hopefully get in the way. In Reality a spitter hatched and just stood there.

Spiker top left corner this guy was a star as he had been pinging ISs Queen for several turns and still had a couple of rounds of ammo left. Similar to the other spiker I danced about redlining the damaged Queen ( just in case the splatter go tin the way of this and halted his shooting ) then went on to the healthy Queen, and finished with some oppo fires. Like the other spiker he had about 100seconds worth of orders. In reality it helped damage the damaged Queen and never got its fire interrupted.

So, in summary I prolly should have ran away, but I didnt want to end the game that way, as I felt there was a small chance of something on the RHS I couldnt see, attacking me and say killing the lower spiker in the middle, the bottom spiker dying and the splatter getting taken out which is 3 points and an IS win. I would have kicked myself forever for doing that, and as I said before, the game was played in a very good spirit, I had even congratted IS on his win on one of the earlier turns !
