Mine dosnt expire until september, if it was due now im not sure I would want to give money to programmers who have abandoned the game. I played a game today when we were both online and the whole game lasted less than 2 hours....thats the kinda fun id forgotten LSN could give. Its reminded me how much I love this game. I would sub forever if I thought the game would live on....I would even pay the Gollops to do so. So, are you going to subscribe???? I can see it then if I can go trough all that hassle of subbing without creditcard or not if gollops isn't around, like he hasn't been in... Is it already over a year? (exept that one day he was online for a second). Makes me wonder why he hasn't been around, and why he just doesn't want to give the game away if he can't deal with the pressure the game demands. I have to admit this has to be the best game I played in my life. However it's not the game itself that does it all, altough it's exeptional one and all, one of it's kind and a true gem, but it's the best community I have ever met, the community that thinks likewise as me that takes it to the top. If there ain't going to be any community left to banter and play with, I can't see why I should continue. If there is, then what the hey, why I shouldn't enjoy myself. - I still got that Elite #1 to claim some day! E: Interesting how the absense of Gollops shows in the usage graphs directly. Currently we have <300 active players in the game, last month. ~80 was newbies of them. Gollops, where art thou? Your child desperately needs the tendance and care a parent should provide. As JC has stated, it's the community that makes up a large part of LSN for me. I bet just a quick 'hello' from JG to say we're not forgotten would be a massive boost for players on the fringes of leaving LSN for good. And would bring back long lost players who are still lurking in the shadows on this forum. You know who you are! Posts: 663 10-Feb-08 13:26	Yeah, I'll keep subscribing as long as Alliance is still going. Think I would have lost all motivation a while back without it. A year or two ago I was fairly pessimistic about LSN's ability to actually survive as a long term project. I just couldn't see the extra players coming in that were needed to fund even a part-time programming effort. The fact that it's still going now and there's still a reasonably active community makes me think that the effort should have been made. Maybe it's not too late. There's obviously a market for this kind of game, judging by the steady stream of new subscribers that keep cropping up. An acknowledgement that the game's not dead from Codo would be a good first step. Add a few low-effort innovations over the course of the next few months with something big and tasty announced for round Christmas time and who knows. Wildly optimistic I suppose. Cheers, Zwack

(complicated, don't ask) This last year I've not played all that many matches - FW could probably tell us how many, but personally I'm not sure - I still feel like I got value for money though. This is a great game, and the balance is nice at the moment. And it's reasonably cheap. What's not to like? I can deal with the lack of support... this forum is still going, and I check it every day even when I'm not playing - but even without it the game is good enough that I'd play, and set up open challenges when I could. When I eventually am able to play again (assuming that the game hasn't evanesced) then I'll be resubbing.

If the thought of that ever stops being fun, I'll unsubscribe. Right now, I find that unimaginable. We're on Turn 6, and he has 3 guys left. I still have lots of Splatters, but a few well-placed shots and a chain reaction... Last 2 games I played on TRL were enormous fun, too.

After that, it was it's the odd game here and there that's nicely tense and, well, you all know what makes a game great. At the moment finding deploying and the few early turns very hard to do, but after I'm over them it's great fun! Anyway, have also tought of dropping out from all competitions and playing games for wackyness only just klicking the starting turns brainlessly away so that I can get to the mid nad end game. I take every game too seriously too even friendlies for no reason really! Keep it to 20 or 25 points though I've never liked 30 point games - I havn't got the patience for it! worto.

So even if the worst came to the worst and the server was turned off after six months I would still have got my money's worth - so I don't feel there is much risk involved.
