I'm a computer idiot, so bear with me.
I downloaded/saved several of the mods (black spawn, snow effects, etc) from the link scanner site. How do I apply them to actual games? |

Uh, as far as I can remember, most of them are just packed art files, of graphical mods I mean. What you gotta do with them is that first you need to do a safe
copy of the needed files and then unpack/transfer the art files straight on top of the originals in the Art folder.
As for Tharg's Interface Fixer - pure gold - (wich seems to be down atm, I need to get a hold of Tharg about that), you need to do the same routine, but the interface file is housed in the Configs folder.

Hmm yeah you're right, Jacques, my old web space has gone (hence no avatar over there <--, etc.)
I have it somewhere though, and some new space, so I'll sort that out eventually. If you (or anyone) has a copy and wants to distribute it somehow, though, feel free.

I do have a copy inside my own LSN wich could be copied, but I don't have any webspace to upload it into.
Oh, and didn't notice you were onto things before the pm. Sry.

Email it to me at My Name 2005 At The Google Email Place and I'll put it somewhere and edit the link in the thread.
No underscores or anything like that in the bit above before the "At".

Lyckily I seemed to have mailed you before and have saved the address so I needen't to decode that... ...thing...
But anyhow... I'll send the file to you twice, once zipped (the easy way) and once open as text format (the hard way), as in the code, in case your mail don't want to open the zip or something. So don't wonder the double mailing. Just making sure you'll get the file.

I've edited the link in the thread. If you could confirm it's working for you that'd be cool, too. Haha American firefox spellcheck doesn't like "that'd", but the UK one says it's fine. How odd.

Okay, it gives it as a code format now (no download, but loads of text as in text file), so one should copypaste the text over his own interface, instead of
downloading the file.

Works okay that way. For some reason, it just decides to open it as txt when pressing the link the old fashioned way.

that means http server is sending content-type text/html or text/plain, thus browser decides to open it as text
