Posts: 1 14-Jan-09 22:00	Tags : None I've just installed LSN on my new PC however I'm unable to launch any of my games in progress. I just get the error message "Unable to open file.........". Any ideas whats wrong?

Posts: 2862 14-Jan-09 22:25 Blutkind	What file it reports as failed to be opened? by saying "my games in progress" you mean that you were playing OK on old PC, but problems started on new one? if this is the case, maybe you didn't download the wholegame on new PC (data for old turns to rebuild game from beginning on new location). Might also be associated with the commonly known problem that your PC don't know on witch program to be used on opening the .lsn files, and you need to point it in right direction. Posts: 5906 15-Jan-09 14:02 Budda on an anthill	Yes, either of those two should do it. For the second, right-click on the file and choose 'open with'. Browse to where LSNClient.exe is (by default, C:\Program Files\Laser Squad Nemesis\LSNClient.exe) and select it. Make sure you check the 'always open this kind of file with this program' box. For the first, go to your web client, click on where it says 'Play Turn', and click on 'Get Whole Game'. Open that baby up and the entire game will rebuild from scratch and get you to where you need to be. Be aware that wholegames have trouble rebuilding if you have .lsn files laying about in your Games folder. Clean that up if it doesn't rebuild properly and run it again.
