You haven't heard from me in a while, so I think it's about time I explain what I have been up to. I thought moving to Bulgaria and buying a flat would be a financially manageable way of continuing independent development. However, the rennovation of the flat proved to be a major nightmare, because the the whole construction industry here is in some kind of mega-boom with property prices going up 30% last year. Hence, it has been very difficult to get workers prepared to work on small projects, and difficult to get reliable workers. So, I needed to get a job just in order to finish the rennovation and have somewhere to live. So, I started working at Ubisoft here in Sofia - first as a game designer and now as a producer/designer. It was hard work on projects which are less than enthralling. The studio here has many young and inexperienced developers. My first project was Chessmaster for DS and PSP, for which I designed some interesting mini-games based on chess rules. Apart from that it's - well - chess. As for LSN, we have developed a new single player version of the game which runs in continuous, but pausible, real time (something similar to 'X -Com: Apocalypse'. However, I am not sure this is the right way to go to get new players. I hope we can release it for beta test some time, just to get some feedback.
Many thanks to all of you who have kept going with LSN, and I apologise for not giving it the attention it needs and deserves.
