Hello there, and welcome to the 2nd Multiplayer Test Match. Thanks for helping out.

For your information, a few things.

Step One!
The first and most important thing that you must do is provide Fuzzywinker with an email address that can be used to send your turns. When he has this, he will send you a "welcome pack".
You may send Fuzzywinker an ezmail private message, or contact him any other way you choose.

The Match
This match will be played under the following conditions:
Wipeout
30FP (each player controlling 10FP)
60 days
20 turns
random map (fuzzy to veto unbalanced maps)
race: any (to be chosen by each team in pre-match discussion)

Links
When the map is determined, a link to the map-HQ image will be provided in the quick links at the top of the forum. Also here you will have links to send email to Fuzzywinker, who is the technical brains behind this venture. There are two addresses - one for technical support, the other to submit your turns.

How to play: sending turns
You have two options to send turns. You may either play using your existing LSN client as detailed below, or play using Fuzzywinker's modified multiplayer client as detailed in the "welcome pack" email that you will have been sent.
To send turns using your current LSN client:
Quote:
When you have plotted your orders, save the order file and send it to XXXXXXXX

If you've installed LSN in the normal location, it saves them to:
C:\Program Files\Laser Squad Nemesis\Games\00nnnnnn\ordersn_G00nnnnnn_Tnn.lsn

You should see that for all your games, because the client always saves the orders to the local disk ("send orders" basically means "save them and then send them").

You will need to change your player details to the ones provided in the "welcome pack" before you submit a turn... and you'll need to change them back again to your own playername and password before you can play your own regular LSN games.

Play Schedule
Let's try to have the match deployed and underway by Monday 21st January.
When the match is underway, to avoid a Time Out defeat your team will have to have submitted all three players' orders at least once every three days. Fuzzy is testing out something to deal with absent players: if you fail to put in a turn within 96 hours then your troops will get an "empty" set of orders submitted to them.

Team Play
How you handle communication is up to you, as a team. I'd suggest that you agree before making the deployment how often you'll try to play - and how much discussion (if any) will be had before submitting each turn.

Testers of the world, unite!
As playtesters, your feedback matters. Please post as often as you can in this hidden area. Please try to limit your team's communication to this forum rather than other means, for this test match.
After the match is over, each team's hidden forum will be made public for discussion and analysis.
