hi all. am looking forward to this.
i just got the email from fw, and set the client up game on we need to decide a team name i hear the map is bad neighborhood, not one of my favourites lsn name: vom

Rhino mounted goblins armed with voms sounds like a good name to me
i'd love to comment on race selection for the map, but i honestly don't remember what it looks like (i know by the name that i must have played it at least a couple dozen times...) |

i'm not working at the moment, so i'm more flexible. will try and stay on forum till early morning (1/2 am) and catch you both in the evening
we need to decide what race? machina aren't too bad on this map, but marines would probably play better individually. any thoughts? lsn name: vom

Will need to take a look at the map, should be able to today and post back.
Have had a busy past couple of days as, literally, my son almost died in my arms Wed 1:30am. He's stable now, back in the hosp NICU. LSN is now part of my personal recovery program. Honestly. But enough about that, I will post with map/race thoughts shortly. |

OK, quick thoughts on this.
Are we blue or green? I'm hoping blue. I've had 4 games on Bad Neighborhood. 1 as green, took Spawn vs Luiglins Marines, lost in a nailbiter. 3 as blue, Marines vs Spawn, Marines and Machina. Won all three. I'm very comfy with my Marine deployment from the blue side (obviously) though the 30fp could throw a monkey wrench in as both sides will have even more firepower to play with. |

i've played 4 games on bn. won 2 lost 2, both wins from the green side. so not too bothered which side.
i played Master of Mankind match, and 40 marines was easy. we should manage fine i don't know when we have to decide lsn name: vom

Yes. Exactly. An expert.
When fuzzy gets the challenge out, we'll know what side we have and can discuss tactics further. I do think we should anticipate Spawn and go from there. If they're Greys, I'd prefer to lure them out a bit anyway before hitting them like maniacs. |

We're Green chaps! And great gridmap BTW vom.
So, what are we thinking? Huh? Huh huhuh? Are we going to go Left Squad, Center Squad, Right Squad and advance on a broad front? Or should we weight the left or the right and leave 1 squad to cover the center and remaining flank? Turn 2 I'd prefer to use Commanders to silently peel open the D9 building to allow easy movement inside. Too many times have I been able to use that building from the blue side to stage an attack. As Blue Marines I always put a HQ in E3 and have a C shoot out that map edge side window for easy reloading, let's be aware of that if they turn out to be Marines. My other HQ would go at E4, tucked up against the building for fast reloading (and to be the decoy HQ for Spawn attacks). What do you think our HQ locs should be? What should our total squad makeup be? With 30fp Marines I'd tend to deploy: 2C, 2S, 4N, 7G, 3M, 2HQ I'm open to changes to that though. We've got 72 hours to bang through this, let's start hucking ideas out there. |

i'd def go with hq at d12, and the other? don't know where's secure (we need a safe one incase they're machina)
left, right, centre is ok with me. i normally leave a small force at the back as well on this map i'd go with 2C 3S 2HQ 2N 3M 9G (but am also changeable) initial thoughts: i'd like to take 1C 1S 1HQ 1M 3G the last few marine games i've started taking more grunts and less grens we should start with a sniper near the c9 area to try and spot which race we're facing. the buildings at c7 & e8 have always been important in my games, but we cant really plan much until we see them lsn name: vom
