Big thanks to Indri, PB and GF. I really enjoyed reading/watching this game.
Some random comments in no real order -
Turn 5 comment by Indri about spikers is wrong I believe - spikers are not so useful here because the action against greys is likely to be up close and personal inside a bunker, where a drone would probably be better than a spiker. Even when the regens didn't blow up it was still gold to be able to take them out from a distance: grey-regen=spawn meat. Note that PB carefully deployed his regen on the left in a spot where it can't be hit from outside the bunker (a vital point when planning a defense against spawn) - something that GF didn't realise in his turn 6 speculation of where PB's regen might be.
Great positioning of that regen by PB on the right side of the map - because no queen can get to it (this point is extremely important) it leaves GF an incredible dilemma: rush the regen and lose a stack of unrecyclable points, or leave a back door for PB. The answer here that GF seemed to miss is those spikers - only they can take out the regen and still get recycled if they die. Goo the area to scare PB's sentries away then take out the regen with spikers.
In summary I think that GF over-commited himself too early. If he had adopted a siege-breaking mentality he could have taken out PB's right hand regen (though well down on points), formed up and tried to storm the left bunker. It could have gone either way but by trying to do both simultaneously he made things very difficult for himself.
Real shame the game wasn't finished.
