Posts: 1 23-Apr-06 06:52	Tags : None Well, I have a problem. I bought LSN six months ago. I thought that the online play was expensive, but I still bought it for one month. Unfortunately, I had my ass handed to me in netplay . Then I payed campaigns over and over... but they eventually got repetive. So, I wish that there was an AI that allows you to play in like "hotseat" games. If there was such thing... then !

Many people loathe online play, and if there was an AI and a simple scripting language for ai behaviors in the editor, it would attract a lot more players then MP only. As it stands the game on one demographic only. Online strategy grog-nards like my self. The game is very accessible to a first time user. The devs did a brilliant job of that. Its a shame that more people wont get to experience it because of preconceived notions. A map editor that would allow people to make SP missions and campaigns would greatly extend replay value and garner more interest in the game. It wouldn't water the game down in any way either so the purist's would not have to worry about any of the goodness going the way of the dodo. Either way im still very happy with the game even though i just found out about it!( i know ridiculous, found this site and the game on accident trying to track down a used copy of xcom. Even thats a good example of how the game would garner more attention from the add pc rags and online game review sites.) Alt Tabs back into LSN

Posts: 3485 18-May-07 00:58 Speen Demon	The SP missions are a (relatively) new addition, they are not really where the game was intended to go, more of an add on to try to get new players interested without having to brave facing a real opponent. Once they've done that hopefully they'll join up for online play. Also if you look at it from Codo's perspective, they won't make that much extra money, and considering the effort they would have to put into it to to develop something like that. If codo were to expend the effort to develop something like that they would have to charge a lot more than they currently do, and the game would probably not be worth buying. Do people ask for a Single player version of WOW so they can play when they are not connected to the net? LSN: Brootal Alliance wants you!

Posts: 987 18-May-07 07:32	A lot of good sense above. LSN is really a very simple game, with simple graphics, and would hold interest for very long if it was single player. The thing that makes it really outstanding is the fascinating battle of wits against a human opponent, and the community in which results matter (tournaments etc.).
