Decline trick works not only for challenges you are not supposed to decline. Actually it works for all games. ALL GAMES. Even the running ones. I've tested

Yes. For any running game you can manually decline it.
Opponent will recieve a standard e-mail "bla-bla-bla declined bla-bla-bla" |

Re: Decline trick works for running games too (Exploit repor | #11

I actually figured this may work and be the reason a game was 'lost' from my list !!!
About a month ago I did some manual cleanup to remove a bunch of undeployed games from 4 belts that started at the same time, with a lot of unsuitable maps and re-re-rechallenges. My list is usually long a any time, and I was really happy to have a way to remove some junk if not to sort ongoing games ... A few days later I noticed a game that had started already was not on the list anymore ... fortunately it was a friendly not linked to any competition, we were on turn 1 only so no real big deal ... I was just (and I am still) sorry I couldn't remember the name of the person who challenged me so I could rechallenge though I suspected I may have typed a wrong game number when canceling those junk challenges, but didn't want to test and end up loosing any other game. This is REALLY messed up! |

Quote: I don't agree there ... what would prevent someone from canceling all their league games as soon as they think they're lost? If there is no way to prevent the exploit, maybe it should be advertised so that players that see a game vanishing from their list realize what is going on and come here to post ... at least abusers would be identified and could be avoided by forum users if not by everyone ... |

it's not disappearing without notice, don't forget that the "decline e-mail" arrives normally. when someone abuses this against you - you recieve the email about
"Your challenge to XXXX, game NNN, has been declined. Re: Decline trick works for running games too (Exploit repor | #14

I must have 5000+ unopened emails from Codo server on some hotmail account, if the email option is activated right now which I am not even sure of, very unlikely I would notice, and I am sure some other players dont use email option anyway ...
I can't remember any game vanishing besides the one I most likely canceled myself though ... I am not sure this ever was problem, but I can't help thinking it will happen now that it's public, I have seen people using exploits in every single online game I have played, even though they were risking -and several times ended up- being banned from those games. The LSN community is the greatest I have seen, forum users all love the game and have great playing spirit, so that is really not what I mean here ... I am still convinced that some random moron may read this one day and decide to try to rank higher than HB just because he will find it fun to have his name there and does not care at all about the cheater tag. This should be fixed, or at least watched for if there is a way, I dont know ... |

Re: Decline trick works for running games too (Exploit repor | #16

that sounds like a good idea, a script-produced list of all players who've declined a game in progress (with the chance for names to be removed with an explanation)
better still to fix it, though i remember codo moved reasonably quickly to adjust things so that people couldn't get wholegames that didn't belong to them. or at least, i think that i remember. |
