Quote: Well as I AM playing spawn, I don't really have much use for that informations since I can't pick 'em up. Ps. I'm playing one of the regular spawners. I randomized who was in the defending hive and who wasn't, and the 'ol trusty dice decided to give this outcome. Actually, they decided to picked the spawn players in reversed order, not skipping anyone along the way. That was really freaky to see how I just threw everything in order...

Seesh there has come lots of posts since my last check on forums. 'Aight, lets start answering.
Quote: Yes, there's always room for more untill the very final. No restriction of race that you may choose at this point. Greys will be restricted if there's too much of 'em around, however there hasn't been that much of a demand for them. You will have 12fp at your disposal to create the perfect squad for the race you wish (spawn is a little special: there may only be 1 Queen, but the rest of the units can be decided in the start of each battle as long as queen is alive). You may also decide the general direction from where you will appear on the map after two turn switches (the end of the first, and the one full week. Then you'll appear on the map, and may be given orders as normal). Quote: You'll get a free win (and will cause retreat to Ob) if Orkboi hasn't deployed 'till tomorrow morning, if you wish. It will prevent you from getting potential new units, tough. Quote: Better get the turn in now! Quote: Mr Real Life, I haven't seen you around before, but I presume you happen to be somehow related to mr Orkboi. |

Here are my Machina names, in the style of Ian Bank's the Culture:
MT: Do You Want Fries With This HQ: The Larder HQ: The Pantry Scanner: T.A.A. (stands for Target Aquired Addiction) XT: Weeble XT: Wobble XT: Tony XT: Buckethead XT: Loopy XT: Limpy XT: Buster XT: The Butler HT: Hold Still, It's Just A Camera HT: Moving Target HT: Walking Is For Wusses HT: I Feel Lucky, Do You? It seems to me after naming them that the MT and the HTs have the most intelligence and, in all likelyhood, named the rest of the squad. |

Thanks for signing in UT! Since you didn't prefer any particular entry direction, I'll just randomize that. (taking up the reconrds, shouldn't take up more than half an hour).
Ps. Odd... I can see indris post while I'm typing this post, but when I press back and even force refreshed the window, I couldn't get it up... I hope the post eating illness isn't back! E: Whew, now it's in it's right place! |

With respect to the naming of Machina units, it reminds me of a fantastic piece of fan fiction called "Tales from the Hive Mind". Sadly Codo took it off the website, but I managed to find it on the Internet Archive:
web.archive.org/web/20040...vemind.htm I strongly recommend reading it... Ian K. |

Indri: I'm sure the MT should be 'Fries with your shake?'
The reason I didn't take mechs is because I wanted to do the roleplaying bit and come up with some stories, rather than have XTs and Hunters called Unit 101 and Unit 110. Plus what can you get for 12FP of Machina? It hardly seems worth it |

Koxvold: I love that story. Have it saved of course.
UT: The reason you only get 12fp is that if a starting squad gets wiped out, they reenter with 12fp. As the game has started, it's like you're being sent to command a squad that gt smashed earlier. I agree that Marines are a good choise, RP as well as FP wise. |
