Current competition status: underway!
Some people just couldn't wait for the official start date on Saturday, and have bravely and/or foolishly made a break for it.

i especially liked the last turn wher your commie twieled to fire at the medic that shot him first only to be shot in the back by another medic and when he turned to get him the first medic shot him in the back and disappeared again.
fear the dreaded ninja medics.

But don't fear the ballerina commander obviously. sure it looked cool but did he hit anything? I think not.

sohir taking an early lead in Division C then, by virtue of picking up 100 points as a bonus for looking after his lawmen. I'm sure their wives will be pleased.

And we've not even got to the official start date yet!

I've entered the time as 78s for that match, by the way. The scoring's only going to be in whole seconds and it's just going to give me headaches later if I record the fractions too. Just so's you know.

My poor commie was pounced on too quickly.

It was only on deployment that I realised I was the Commie!! I chose the map thinking I was chasing with 15 medics :bang

Oh well harsh lesson to learn

Which map did you choose?

Hopefully you can work something out with your opponent if you need to preserve your clock for while you're away... although if it's all over in a flash then maybe it won't be an issue.

Uh, Pickupsticks. I have just noticed a certain area in the "rat race" map where I could deploy my commander in and just lay back while letting the clock run, knowing that no one could hurt me.

There in the blue main deployment is a small booth wherewould be a perfect place to put the commie in. A place for 100% possibility to win.

I presume it is forbidden to put the commie in such areas that the feeble medics are unable to get in.

Is this correct, or can I get a free, huge-point win by deploying my commander there?

Bah. So much for everyone helping me scrutinise the maps for areas like that...

No deploying in there, or I shall beat you with a big stick. I should probably pull Rat Race out of the map pool and ask you to choose somewhere else, for the sake of simplicity.

Would you mind going for a different map? It'd be easier than explaining to everyone/amending the rules... but, bah.
