The one which Erland quoted. I just meant that if one player leaves it to the challenger to post, but the challenger forgets, then it won't get posted. I don't really know how it might be better worded, it's just that it's better for either player (or both) to post the result rather than no-one! (Sorry, I'm not really trying to make life difficult, honest!)

I agree with SB. Probably the winner should post results, since he has the most incentive not to forget, but it wouldn't hurt if both players posted them.

I know I'm a nitpicker but the newer guys might not know...
Quote: The rule is actually 2 1fp units or 1 multi-fp unit. So you could do things like 1HQ and 1Medic, or 2HT too, not just 2HQs. A 2HQ rule could lead to a few 2Queen deployments! Nasty!

Re: Results | #77 | ||
Quote: No, no, no!! You get it wrong. You can deploy two 1 FP units or one multiple FP unit. Two Queens would be two multiple FP units! The two HQs example in the rules is an *example* in case you take Marines. It says "for example...". BTW I think it is not a great idea to take Spawn. If you recycle, you potentially give a lot of points to your opponent. It doesn't matter if you win the game. If you don't recycle, you lose one of the greatest strenght of Spawn. |

Csab, thanks for a close second game. couldn't Butch Cassidy it out at you as had patched up grunts. actually think you might have won if you had attacked but you weren't to know that.
pay it forward

Quote: I'm generally in agreement, especially after learning about the points bit the hard way. Although a couple of splatters or a splatter and a spitter can worth taking depending on the map, and drones have the best chance of cutting through walls to get at your opponents from a direction they're not expecting..... |

Re: Results | #80 | ||
Quote: I knew where you were, what units you had and I hadly a pretty good idea about their health status. But you had 5 Grunts and I had 3. That 5 shots vs. 3 in every second in a shoot out. Besides, I was sure you were waiting for me with your units opfiring like hell, so you have the first shots. Nevertheless, I *did* consider attacking, but since it didn't look good to me, I decided that I'm not going to give you 3 points for 1 or 2 in return. I figured, if you wanted the 3 points, you would come after me and I was waiting in well defendable positions, so then I would have a better chance to kill more units (or even win). I even thought that after a few turns you might get nervous that you don't see me and you start to wander around so that one of my Grunts would snipe you. I think I made the right decision and you made the right decision.IMO the game was decided by the helper units. A grenadier is more effective than a sniper here. Also, you predicted one of my moves perfectly (when you threw that grenade in the middle of my group). That hurt. Thanks for the nice game, I enjoyed it despite losing it. |
