Out of interest, how are you going to arrange the division? Is it relevent what division we're all in (I've noticed that on the website)?

Id prefer it to be random because im in the top 20 and dont want to get squished by the high Elites. Also my ranking is totally down to jammyness, ill never stay where I am for long.
Saying that, a newish player will be put of if the lineup gives him lots of high elite players. What might be fun is to list all the players and get each participant to vote each player a score from say 1 - 20 and construct a ranking that way  LSN:Limavictor426League:Elitealliance:The Cursed ClownsSpecialist:The Company

You could list everybody by their league standing, then split them into 5 pools based on that. Then take 1 player from each pool for each division.
This would mean that each division would have a high elite and a lower league player in it. Hence, everyone should have a player in their division they feel they can beat, and at least one they'll be worried about playing. What do you think? I think thats a good idea from my point of view. In theory though it will mean that all the high ranked players get an easy run though. Maybe just doing it by random is the fairest way.

Take a look on all those big and old organisations, like FIFA. They are doing this for a long enough time to say that way is good and fair. And they make selections random.

That's not true, Duke. Qualifying for the world cup is done by separating seeded teams. The first round of the World Cup Finals is done in the same way.
In fact, in most international football tournaments, some sort of seeding system is used. I've been thinking about this and am tempted to go with seeding.
Just for fun I grabbed the signed up players league scores from Fletch's handy list. (I've had to guess scores for Indri and Brootal but the rest are as at 28th.)
