Our game's under way. Pickupsticks says he's taking a big gamble, when what he really means is that he's taking a big pile of grenades. (Since when are grenades a gamble? :)
Luckily, grenadiers don't run too fast when they're popping out their happy fun balls and I've already got a buzzer attached to one marine's face. - FW |

medals look suitably slimey: the green ribonning is a nice touch
 fuzzy's cleaned his version of events up somewhat, it's not the marine's face he's latched onto  no casualties yet, but that's not going to last long. |

Medal looks good! Maybe having a green background on the medal itself would make a nice change and make it stand out from the usual ones, or having the balls and the goo in green?  |

I'll take a look. I do like the idea as long as it doesn't start getting crazy with future medals (as I really like how stuffy did the different ribbon colors to help differentiate things). Glad you noticed the green ribbon, it's nice when they notice... <bashful> Changing the backround to be green should be the lesser of the two evils, as the way the medal image is drawn is that the blue backing of the medal is painted away for the image. So if I change the background on that medal we should end up with light green image on dark green background. Anyway, that's my therory! or how about leaving the medal as is, but with a little green drop of goo dripping off it? Something subtle enough that the medal fits in with the others yet goo-ey enough to make people think "ewwww"

i'll write a proper report up when i get time (ie. when the gf is asleep or in the shower!)
it's looking pretty good for me at the moment. as far as i can see, he's just got two spitters for me to hunt down and i've still got an HQ and a fistful of naders, and a sniper and a medic, and a grunt. it was touch and go for the longest time - i'm having nightmares about splatters now  we're on turn 11 or so. wholegame will go up as soon as we're done, which should be fairly soon hopefully. |

I'm at work at the moment so I can't view the final turn *grumbles at my employer* Thanks for a fun game, Mr Winker. I only took one sniper this time around (as you'll all be able to see, when I upload the game later on tonight) but I really do feel they are hugely useful against Spawn. I value them more for their eyesight than their Queen-killing potential, and would take a sniper over a commander I reckon. EDIT: challenge sent to Bobbajob |
