I beat DD on Space for Rent. Very close game, which he was winning for the first 10 turns or so (he was 16-4 up at one point). Fortunately for me he had a couple of bad bounces in one turn, and I'd wounded most of his troops by then...
I've challenged Baron von Cox, and we have High Command. Kinda surprised that one's still in the random pool... I hate it, so BvC, if you're willing, let's have a different map instead. Hot damn. Yep, a very close game. I ended turn 10 (i think) with two unexploded grenades next to my HQ with lots of injured troops huddled around it. Then, next turn, a drone was a bite away from taking out my HQ, with another 4 points of troops ready to die in its explosion. Without one or both of those events the game would have been a whole lot more interesting... and longer.

Personally I've found it's generally OK for open-race fights, but some people don't like it, and I can certainly see why.
