NB: you will have to be familiar with the T-method of deployment, in order to take part in this belt. Unless you only ever bid 30, 25 or 20FP of course... but that wouldn't be any fun. For details on the T-method, see this thread: click
Name That Tune Belt
Match Paramaters:
The holder always deploys 20FP.
The challenger's FP will vary, as explained later.
After a match finishes, the holder should post here with full details of the next match; they may choose the map (or Random if they want) and specify an open races or same race clash.
For bravado they may name the race that they'll be deploying in an open races clash, although this is not required. If they do so, and then deploy a different race, they forfeit the belt.
They must specify the number of turns the match will be played over.
They must specify whether the match will be Wipeout or HQ.
Matches should be 15 or 30 days, at the holder's discression, although 15 is advised.
The Challengers:
After the holder posts the declaration of what the next match will be, any potential challengers have one week to post up their bids.
A bid is the number of FP that a challenger wishes to use in their attempt to take the belt, from 30FP down to 1FP.
Challengers may also add conditions to how they'll deploy, or how they'll play during the match, such as "I'll take that belt using 25FP and I'll only deploy one type of unit". If they want to try to undercut previous bids, a conditional bid must be identical to the previous bid but with at least one extra condition.
The belt admin may veto bids that are not acceptable, but there should be a lot of leeway here so I'm not going to put up a list of acceptable bids: just be creative.
IMPORTANT: a bid one FP lower outranks any higher bid, no matter what conditions are attatched to the higher bid.
If a challenger then breaks the conditions of their bid whilst playing, they automatically forfeit the match: this would count as a defence for the holder.
The Match:
When bidding is closed (one week after the post by the holder, as timestamped on the forum) whoever has the lowest bid recorded will be the next challenger.
In order to keep things moving along, the holder may choose to begin the match early provided that there has been at least one bid, and there have been no further bids for a period of 48 hours. In this case they must make a post in this thread (and check that nobody else has put a bid in while they were making the post!) before issuing the challenge.
It's important not to edit your forum posts, as the "edited on" timestamp will be the one used in any cases of argument.
The holder should then send a challenge, with the stated conditions, to the challenger.
The holder deploys 20FP, the challenger deploys according to their bid.
And then they fight!
A draw counts as a defence for the holder.
Conditions:
Once a player has been the challanger and failed to take the belt, he is not allowed to bid again for the next three defences of the title, regardless of whether the belt changes hands or not.
