Are you aware that Valkea is going to Lapland (the northmost part of Finland) for the easter (he might be there as we speak)? Just wondering if we could have a
short holiday over the easter so that we can have all our players in line when the next turn comes by?

I'm jumping in front here but I'm pretty sure our side would be fine with a delay as everyone seems to rather the game finish than be derailed.
Of course, this is the Big issue of MPLSN, players dropping away and missing deadlines (for whatever reason). Should this go mainstream in any way, I think we all need to bite the bullet and accept that you may find yourself fighting on crippled in these sort of games.

Yep, saw a comment from Valkea to that effect somewhere. We'll wait until he gets back. I've been
fairly lenient on the defaults this match, and despite (or maybe because of ) the fact we're unlikely to finish the match before one (or both) teams time out from the codo server's point of view, I'm not going to change the policy now. Indri's right though - if we do more than one of these at a time, the defaults are going to have to become non-negotiable, which will have an impact on how the matches are played. (I worry that that impact will be each team playing as a separate squad per player, since the risk of half of a squad taking a nap might be too high.) - FW

Okay... here we are now... And I have my courage back !
and didn't even drink that much. Except a bit on Friday, and some on Saturday. And then some more on Sunday... (but skied too). Seriously: I have to agree about people just having to live with definite cut-off times for turns. Except maybe it would be good idea to have slightly longer delays for holidays like Easter and Christmas. Is that difficult to program? |

Would it be possible to allow players to plot orders more than one turn ahead for when they know this might happen? Obviously this means they would have to
assume all units were still alive and would not be able to react to changing situations. It would however allow them to plot a more active form of doing
nothing maybe involving a bit of spamming, reloading, corner dancing etc. I wondered if fuzzy's order conglomerator might be able to cope with this sort of
thing.

I've had that a couple of times with normal LSN turns JC... also the web interface has been playing up for me - I get the 'cannot display that
page' error
regularly.... I figured it was a problem at CODO's
end.... usually if I wait a few minutes and try again it sends OK.
In fact the only reason I'm on the forum atm at all is because I'm waiting for the interface to kick in so I can see the next turn on our game

Well it's in right now!
E: Nuts, the clients still gives me the bad greeting message, starting to get little anxious to put it in before I miss my turn...

Have the same problem... first it connects without luck, then says the orders were sent succesfully, but I'm not getting the standard e-mail that says
orders were received

My mail server decided that everything was spam for a little while. Shouldn't break (at least not that way) again. - FW
