Although sheesh, here's me playing this bloody game for five (?) years and never gotten above 2nd, and he waltzes straight past me to the top in a few months - jammy b ugger! Seriously, he's a stella player, and highly deserving. It wasn't so long ago he was a free trial player running rings around me from almost the first game, and we've had some stella games since (a couple are in the LGA). Posts: 1 1-Mar-08 06:42	Thanks, Paleblackness... and thanks to everyone for the congrats. This whole forum thing is very new to me (as I'm not too computer savvy). The moving icons are also something I've never used... that's why I stick with good old "" and "" Heh heh Right around 1 year ago I remember hearing about LSN from a friend. We played all of 3 games but I became interested in it. I remember looking at the Hall Of Fame and seeing someone's name at the top... Yup, that's YOU, Paleblackness! I wondered how well a Hall Of Fame player could play the game so I sent him a challenge (sure that I would get no reply from an Elite player being challenged by a free trial member). Fortunately, I was wrong and Paleblackness not only accepted the challenge, but he taught me how to play. After some experimentation, we even found we could play with races other than marines so long as he issued the challenge (I think that's how we did it)... . Anyway, I used 99% of all 5,000 of my free turns trial members were given at that time playing Paleblackness. Our last game was a spawn game when my 5,000th turn was used and I quit for several months... (he (as usual) was winning) . Well, as anyone who's played LSN knows, it somehow has a way of calling past players back and I signed up for a year with a new username. I chose something that I hoped would let me play perhaps a few more games than I otherwise might be able to (being married with 3 kids! (Coincidentally, I delivered the 3rd 4 days ago) ... All Elite players are AWESOME players. I've had the pleasure to play a majority of them. Bacardi Bat 151 is right when claiming he had a large part to play in my ascension... Thanks!! . Alas, I must keep things in perspective... Above, I was paid a HUGE compliment in a single word by none other than Hero Boy. 1501?!!! That is absolutely amazing... Congrats to YOU! It will be a long time, indeed, before that record will be broken!! I noticed your name is now posted at its rightful place at the very top... It should stay there in perpetuity as far as I'm concerned... Incredible! Finally, Prismatic said it best in one of our recent games... He referred to the number one position as a "precarious #1 perch"... It is quite difficult to get there, and very easy to leave there... ... ... Thanks again to everyone for all of the congrats, and Congratulations to all of YOU! I will be tumbling from #1 within the next few games... Paleblackness and Prismatic are both winning their current games against me and I have yet to be the victor in a league game against Paleblackness.
