It's struck me that Snipers look quite like Eldar Guardians with Las-Rifles (I think that was the name). This has made me think about themed games in which they are considered to be a different race. Probably not much good: who would want to deploy all Snipers against a balanced force of anything else?
But then, which is the BEST unit for a homogeneous deployment? What about a knockout competition where (thinks hard for a moment) 20 players are randomly assigned one combat unit type each. In a knockout competition, each player can deploy ONLY that unit type, and as many HQs as they want, to make 20FP. (Except for the Spawn players, who can't have "HQs" with non-Queen units. Conveniently, all the other Spawn units are 1FP).
