Posts: 142 3-Jan-08 17:26	Tags : None I think LSN should include rivers, pools and lakes etc. Would be really cool if Units could take boats too. If nothing else you could have deep water which you can not cross or shallow water that slows units down. What do you think? Plus objects ? ? I think basic things like a chair on its own would make maps more interesting. You could make maps based on old theatres, football stadiums etc it would be a great addition. Other ideas off the top of my head. fountain, statue, telephone box, hedge, snow, rocks anyone else got any suggestions ?

I think the bounty hunter race is the coolest idea so far. I really like the idea of them being Lizards. Reminds me of V.

Posts: 142 6-Jan-08 16:58	I'm only suggesting ideas? Chess and LSN is a strange comparison. I feel LSN is always open to creativity and idea's. As chess will never change simply because of it's nature. Chess was never invented in the computer age. Too me what is so good about computer games is they have the ability to progress. As long as it improoves the playability. Another race could indeed spoil the game. However, until it is tried and tested how will we ever know? I still think the Bounty Hunter Race ( Lizards ) is the best idea iv'e read on this forum. The idea's really exites me. I do agree that 1 or 2 more units to existing races is unessary. Too me they are perfect as they are. These are just my opinions. I'm not saying that I am right.

Posts: 142 7-Jan-08 05:53	Yes I wasn't there before the Greys. I can well imagine it had long term teething problems. I think a chair would nice and some rocks. Plus it would be nice to make some more alien type landscapes. Like in the old XCOM game.

Posts: 27 9-Jan-08 23:29	I've been thinking about it, and I think a new race is less of a balance obstacle than adding 1-2 units per side. I think one problem with adding units is that you might lose some of the flavor of the races. Provided the races are balanced to begin with, the only balancing you should really have to do is for the new race. I was there when they introduced spawn and there were balance issues between the three races for the whole time I played. I left a few months before the greys were released, but I have a hard time believing the three races were balanced in time for the greys release. I don't see a new race happening. And, I think new tiles are unlikely unless they're created by the players.

Posts: 215 14-Jan-08 20:51	2v2 multis would be cool, if LSN ever allowed it, I know it may mean turn hackage, waiting on a slow team player, or whatever, but you would be literally in a great position to really save each other's hides, and encourage good teamplay aswell. Heck even a 4 way free for all on the same map sounds like fun.
