I have often though it would be nice to play very asymmetrical games e.g. 20 FPs of Marines defending a bunker, surrounded by 40 FPs of Spawn. One way to do this is to have two battles, with players swapping roles, then aggregating the result (either total score, or points for winning, drawing and losing). This way the competition is fair, without the necessity of exactly balanced battles.

This type of game could be for tournaments - perhaps with a set of small groups, with each player in a group playing each other player, 'home' and 'away'. Winners progress to a 'finals' group.
