Posts: 1672 16-Apr-06 19:11 Registered User	Tags : None Please note : All of this is only a personal opinion. First impressions : Personally, I think this map looks bland and grey. And I can't see it as a real set of buildings - why would it be that shape? Also, floor tiles. It looks to me like a lot of these haven't been randomised. Not so bad at a first glance, but it means that after an explosion it becomes very obvious and looks far too ordered.

The shape of that building doesn't really bother me, I've seen weirder irl! (It has to be modern art in practice I guess, and everyone knows the general opinion about modern art.) Posts: 695 17-Apr-06 12:32	I agree it not's a finished article, but I think it's got a lot of potential, the double walls with the pipes in it would play nicely I think. My main issues with it at the moment are the size of the deployment areas being far too small and restrictive too unbalanced, race-wise, spawn should rule this one, it's a disaster for greys and tough for mechs this style of map - entirely sprawling all-destructable building - is quite common already (Factory, Estate, Hotel for instance, off the top of my head) and we should only let more like it into the random pool if there's something to distinguish it from the others. I think this could work with the 'pipe in the walls' idea, but not yet.

Posts: 2330 4-Dec-06 14:17 Mapping Muppet	low pipes would defeat the object of stopping missiles barrages as for building shape not real ok it is a made up shape but have you ever realy looked at the shape of building there crazy probably to fit around undergroudn pipes or terrain or something, maybe this is just a uk thing, americans tend to have straighter roads and buildings perhaps any way im itchign to resub scribe and when i do i'll be back to mapping and try and fix it up , hope i have my old files somewhere!
