I know Julian isn't keen on the idea, but I know for sure some of the doomed team & I'm sure other players and in other comps players issue two challenges 1 friendly and 1 league (where possible) stating in the challenge message that it's comp X take either the friendly or the league.
so......
My idea is to have a setting on each players web interface saying "start my comps as league games", then if TAS tries to start a game against two players that are in the same division and BOTH have this option set to ON then TAS can start it as a league game
